F23 2015-07-17 nightly testing: bad selinux labelling prevents login after install

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi folks! Just a note to assist people in 2015-07-17 nightly testing.
There's a known bug that means after a boot.iso install, the whole
system is wrongly labelled. One consequence is that you can't login
from a console. There would of course be many other consequences too.

This bug is reported as
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1243168 and should be fixed
fairly soon. Note the fix needs to be in the installer image, so
installs from earlier nightlies will still have the problem even after
the fix hits the repositories.

To work around the problem, just do the first boot after install with
'enforcing=0', then do 'touch /.autorelabel' and reboot to trigger a
full system relabel.
