Maybe it's just enough to restart X. ;)
See line:

Here's one I use:

$ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/00-evdev-mouse.conf 
Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "Device Accel Velocity Scaling"
        MatchIsPointer "on"
        MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*"
        Option "VelocityScale" "1000"
        Driver "evdev"
EndSection


$ pkexec yum install xorg-x11-drv-evdev
$ man 4 evdev
