Hi all testers,
I'm running F22/Workstation/x86_64, installed from TC8/Live, and for testing
purposes I installed *VirtualBox-4.3.24* from virtualbox.org. My actual
kernel is 4.0.0-0.rc2.git0.1.fc22.x86_64.
The vboxdrv drivers have been compiled (/etc/init.d/vboxdrv setup).
If I try to boot a VM with Win7 (it is *running* in F21!!), my whole F22 box
hangs up during win7 boot, so I have to hard reset the F22 box.
With the original TC8 kernel-4.0.0-0.rc1.git0.1.fc22.x86_64 I had no such
problems.
I'm sorry, but because of the hangup, no diagnostic data available.
Anybody has similar problems?
The host is Fedora 21 with an rc kernel? If you revert to 3.18.7 does
it work? There aren't supposed to be regressions that affect user
space, but it does happen with rc kernels in particular until things
get ironed out.
Chris,
as you can see in the subject, I'm running *F22/TC8 alpha* as host and
*not F21* (in F21, the VM runs well), and I had no problems with the
kernel of the F22/TC8 DVD.
The problem seems to be the graphical win desktop (after win has
booted): The capslock light and the roll light are blinking periodically
(in a 1 sec rhythm).
Kind regards
