I had a problem with KDE network manager in the TC1 live spin - it didn't work but nmcli worked fine. I don't know what it is like in Gnome but I miss the old NetworkManager UI. Also in a DVD install of TC1 with Kde desktop I am unable to connect to VPN -- the same config that I've used on all my machines.

Hi, I've filed this against kwallet, but not convinced it is a kwallet
bug, so mailing here too in case anyone can suggest a better component
which might save time (and get it fixed before release).
KDE spin (actually Jam spin, but I have no reason to expect it to be
any different) Live desktop can't connect to a wireless AP

Logging out then logging back in to the live user desktop allows a
wireless connection to be created. Seems to be some involvement of
kwallet, but may be knetworkmanager or something else. Obviously
wireless support on the live desktop without needing a workaround
would be nice.
