I know we are a few days away from release. But, should an F18 system
be fedup'able now using the command
fedup-cli --network 19 ?
I ask since I tried it and while things seemed to go well I was left
with a couple of problems.
1. No F19 kernel installed. Fixed by "yum distro-sync" after needing
to erase and then re-install firefox.
2. On boot, I get the messages.... about themes not being found.....
Still boots fine, but annoying to see.
I had a similar experience...system was unusable for a standard user
that is updating.
1) I was left with a system that after login window user could not
enter his system, the only way was to go to a console, but not only
users could issue startx with goog results, one had the "something
went wrong window" and no clue
2) when screensaver was started no way to re-enter the system, user
gets the annoying message "authentication failed" and an hard reset is
needed.
I didn't issue yum distro-sync command and I reverted back to F18.
Info is urgent as I have a bunch of F18 to update.
Well, that's not 'a similar experience' at all. Ed's upgrade went quite
well; yours obviously didn't. Ed's experience is more common from what
I've read so far.
Do you have ConsoleKit installed? If so, try removing it.
