All: While trying to work thru problem with my netbook not going to sleep when the lid is closed (in relation to some of the bugs discussed on this last in the last several days) I had cause to do a yum update that downloaded a pile of updates from the testing repo. ever since then, my desktop has no icons, and the right-click/context menu on the desktop does not work.
