The latest "setup" package update causes weird behaviour with byobu

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Hi,

The latest "setup" package update (which has already hit stable) intends
to fix this bug:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=969429

The update causes some weird behaviour on my system when using byobu (a
screen/tmux wrapper). Before the update, byobu would set the terminal
window title as "user@host:CWD", which is correct. After the update, it
no longer does this. It only shows "screen" in the title bar, and the
"user@host:CWD" text is passed on to the screen window indicators.

Screen on it's own seems to work correctly though. Would someone please
go through it and help pin point where the bug is? Is the update faulty?
Is it a byobu bug?

The screenshots attached in the bug will help explain the situation
clearly.
