installation of F19 i386 LXDE Desktop from TC4 LXDE Live iso. Try to install the CANON printer-scanner driver MP540_RPM_drivers.tar (cups doesn't work totally ok with a Canon Pixma MP540 printer-scanner). The driver package is downloaded from the CANON support website. This driver package works fine with F18.
I can not extract the drivers from MP540_RPM_drivers.tar with xarchiver.
Error message "Archive format is not recognized!"
Has anyone an idea how to extract these drivers in F19 LXDE desktop? Is this an error in xarchiver?
