3.9 Kernel on Fedora 18

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

Frustrated by the lack of an operating telnet server in Fedora 18,
I installed the current rawhide 3.9 kernel onto Fedora 18 on a
test machine.

Results: operation appears normal. Wine still works.
Telnetd works properly.

mount.cifs fails with an invalid argument complaint,
just as with rawhide. Apparently the invalid argument
relates to an incompatibility between /usr/sbin/mount.cifs
and the kernel.
