Usually it's a truncated download. The correct size of
Fedora-18-Beta-x86_64-Live-Desktop.iso is 824180736 bytes. I did verify the
checksums for all the install and live images, as usual. I've never seen a wrong
checksum in a checksum file.



If the size was matching - I'd suggest to run memtest on that machine.
