Adding in btrfs to the convo as it relates to partitioning, raid, lvm and this bug: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=866101 If anaconda UI offers a redundancy (mirror/raid1) option, then two things should be true as it relates to the criteria: a.) the feature should work (i.e. cause mkfs.btrfs to create the volume with the correct command) b.) then btrfs-progs should create and use such a volume raid is so tightly integrated in btrfs that raid0 is the default for data, and raid1 is the default for metadata, for multiple disk btrfs volumes. So I don't see a problem with the release criteria covering btrfs raid. It's way simpler than md raid. That said, since newui and btrfs are new, I don't have a problem with a reduced expectation for btrfs raid for Fedora 18 beta. For Fedora 18 final, and Fedora 19 alpha/beta/final, I think the feature should have parity with md so long as that raid level is offered in the UI. If some unforeseen weirdness pops up, I think the feature should be removed from the UI. Ergo, if offered, it should work. If it doesn't work, don't offer it.
