Hi, having some problems with F18/Alpha-RC2: 1. I made a fresh install of F18/Alpha-RC2 with xfce desktop from the netinst.iso. The hostname of the installed system was localhost. For changing the hostname, I tried to edit /etc/sysconfig/network, but there was no such such file. I had to create it manually. 2. I made a fresh install of F18/Alpha-RC2 with gnome desktop from the netinst.iso. I installed gnome-tweak-tool and configured the desktop for being managed by nautilus. Additionally I installed nautilus-open-terminal. But there is a problem with that package: Clicking with the right mouse pointer on the desktop for opening gnome-terminal lets gnome-terminal appear but immediately exit. 3. The support for old NVIDIA video chips (mine is Geforce FX5200) by the nouveau module is rather poor: during boot, the right screen border is black (1 cm width), and in graphical mode the X-performance is not optimal: for the current F18 kernel there is no nvidia support from rpmfusion.
