As noted at: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Upgrading_Fedora_using_yum#Fedora_17_-.3E_Fedora_18 you will need to do: systemctl enable --force xyzdm.service (in the case of Xfce this would be 'lightdm.service') kevin
