Hey, folks. Just in case anyone's wondering what's happening about a
TC4/RC1 build...
I think it'd be best to have a new anaconda build in it, since we have
several significant anaconda fixes to include. Apparently, any anaconda
build now effectively relies on yum-3.4.3-32.fc18 or higher, which is
currently in testing:
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2012-12179
and has a bug bcl thinks may be important:
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=850550
so unless any of the above changes or I'm wrong about any of it (please
correct me if so, anaconda team), we need to have a new yum build with a
fix for #850500 built, submitted as an update, and given at least some
positive karma. Then we can get a new anaconda build, and include both
the new anaconda and the new yum in TC4/RC1.
In the mean time, please keep working on the TC3 validation matrix:
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Results:Current_Installation_Test
even though we know of all sorts of bugs in TC3 that need fixing, it's
important to keep testing it, because we can still find *more* bugs, and
we need to find them all. It's possible to work around most of the bad
bugs in TC3 and do the other test cases. So if everyone can help with
that, it'd be great. thanks!
