Hi folks, I tried to suspend my system(laptop) earlier today: I clicked 'suspend' from the gnome3 user menu on the right hand top corner. The screen went off, so did the keyboard. The system looked like it had suspended, it didn't take any more inputs. My external USB HDD's lights went off too. However, I noticed the cpu fan was still running. This is a Dell vostro 3500. I remember in F16, the battery/power light used to fade in and out during a suspend. This didn't happen either. I waited a while (maybe it hadn't finished suspending), nothing seemed to change. I then tried to "wake" my system, but it wouldn't. I pressed the power button, that didn't work either. I had no option but to hard power it off and then turn it back on. I checked for updates, there aren't any that seem to be suspend related. My /var/log/pm-suspend.log is below. It looks normal, no errors. Can you please tell me how I should debug this. What component should I file a bug against? > Initial commandline parameters: > Sat Jun 16 11:48:24 IST 2012: Running hooks for suspend. > Running hook /usr/lib64/pm-utils/sleep.d/00logging suspend
