This behavior of the mouse wheel is driving me crazy! I have done all I can think of to fix it.
Something somehow is stealing the mouse wheel function from applications and sending it to switch virtual desktop --it's a real show stopper; reading a page in firefox and scroll down but your on a different desktop, editing 3d mesh in blender mouse wheel to zoom in now a different desktop!! I think something in KDE is broken -- I've disabled so much stuff in an attempt to make it work right that now I can't right click the desktop and get the standard menu which is the only place I can find desktop settings!
