F17 boot issues in VMs with virtio disks

[Date Prev][Date Next][Thread Prev][Thread Next][Date Index][Thread Index]

I figured that I would send a heads up since I can't be the only person
testing F17 with VMs and virtio disks.

For some reason, kernels starting with kernel-3.3.0-0.rc2.git4.1.fc17
can't find virtio disks - dracut dumps into shell saying that it can't
find the root volume.

If you change the disk to use ATA emulation or downgrade the kernel to
3.3.0-0.rc2.git3.2.fc17, the VM will boot.

I've filed this as:
