One is a little silly, the other is a pain. The easy one: Why does GRUB2 still echo back an older version of the kernel, the menu it puts up has the right number, but after selecting it it says booting <blah> and blah is a very old kernel number (by very old I mean three weeks ago). Now I can see in /etc/grub2.cfg why this is happening but shouldn't something update this. Is it grubby? I don't know. >From grub2.cfg: menuentry 'Fedora (3.1.0-0.rc9.git0.0.fc16.x86_64)' --class fedora --class gnu-linux --class gnu --class os { load_video set gfxpayload=keep insmod part_msdos insmod ext2 set root='(hd0,msdos3)' search --no-floppy --fs-uuid --set=root a349d16c-b589-43c2-ab23-036628614bbe echo 'Loading Fedora (3.1.0-0.rc5.git0.0.fc16.x86_64)' linux /vmlinuz-3.1.0-0.rc9.git0.0.fc16.x86_64 root=/dev/mapper/vg_thinmint-LogVol00 ro rd.md=0 rd.dm=0 KEYTABLE=us rd.luks.uuid=luks-18f31b2e-662c-4138-88a2-253f71a238a0 quiet SYSFONT=latarcyrheb-sun16 rhgb rd.lvm.lv=vg_thinmint/LogVol01 rd.lvm.lv=vg_thinmint/LogVol00 LANG=en_US.UTF-8 slub_debug=- echo 'Loading initial ramdisk ...' initrd /initramfs-3.1.0-0.rc9.git0.0.fc16.x86_64.img The other is GDM login is still broken for me about 70% of the time. When selecting my name and entering my password, I hit enter and nothing happens. If I choose "Not Listed?" and manually enter my info it works. I remember a thread about this a couple of weeks ago but saw no conclusion. Like I said it works about 30% of the time, no idea why it works some but not others. Any suggestions? Have these all been seen before? -Erinn -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
