They're two different bugs. -5 was completely broken - it caused just about everything in the world to crash, no matter what your graphics card is - and also it introduced a change which stopped NVIDIA working. Somewhere around -8 or so the complete breakage was fixed, but the change which prevents the NVIDIA driver working right has never been touched. It's been in every build of glibc since. If you want a working glibc+NVIDIA, you either have to run 2.14.90-4, or use the latest build with the patch from https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=737223 , which reverts the specific change in glibc that stopped NVIDIA working. -- Adam Williamson Fedora QA Community Monkey IRC: adamw | Twitter: AdamW_Fedora | identi.ca: adamwfedora http://www.happyassassin.net -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
