That's a tough one. All those extra rectangles don't make it easy to use GNOME as they are drawn over the panel in several colours and therefore hide buttons and menus entries, such as in http://mschwendt.fedorapeople.org/tmp/fedora-clutter-bug-720605-2.png but once I've started some apps to work in, it isn't so bad for testing this for some time. However, first I may need to return to clutter without the disable culling fix and check whether I can still reproduce the refresh issues. Currently, I'm at clutter-1.7.90-1.fc16.x86_64 kernel-3.1.0-0.rc6.git0.0.fc16.x86_64 with NO (!) disable-culling stuff but just these extra rectangles, and so far I cannot reproduce any issues. The red rectangles that are drawn around the areas where I'm active (e.g. in Emacs) appear with a plausible size. Is the latest clutter supposed to fix/change anything related to the previous culling issues? "CULL FAILURE: message-tray" appears at the bottom of GNOME Shell when visiting the Activities screen. Many extras drawn on the screen are impossible to read. -- Fedora release 16 (Verne) - Linux 3.1.0-0.rc6.git0.0.fc16.x86_64 loadavg: 0.03 0.06 0.11 -- test mailing list test@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe: https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/test
