As mentioned elsewhere in the thread I'm seeing something similar,
though not as drastic (my system is pretty powerful, though, which could
explain the difference). jwb pointed me to
http://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=735268 as a bug which is
active for this issue, I suspect that's the general sluggishness a lot
of us are seeing with 3.1 kernels.
