That boot above had an selinux=0 on the grub kernel line that I had forgot adding earlier this day. I obviously have a bad case of CRS. So I took it out and rebooted again. Of course it had to relabel everything, but this time S99local ran just fine including getting fetchmail started. Repeatable? Damnifiknow. Thanks for the hints though, that might come in handy yet.
