I'm the maintainer of vlc...(from the mentionned repository). Well for now, I don't know if this can be fixed without tweaking the code... I would avoid doing this...unless the only way to solve it... (read from execheap http://people.redhat.com/drepper/selinux-mem.html) Others builds was working fine with previous Fedora version (only F-8 seems affected)...
