You were right. I switched yesterday to use spamc with the effect that all of the AVC messages disappeared from the messages file since the switch. However, I now see a bunch of 'Permission Denied' messages in the maillog. But that's a different mailing list. :-)

Thanks for the hint to switch to spamc.
