Not really sure what's causing that. Could it be that printconf-backend (/usr/share/printconf/util/backend.py) parses the output of /usr/sbin/alternatives --display print?

I put a fix in today's policy for this. rpm is execing cups during the install, and I think that is causeing this problem.
