Sorry, I'm having problems connecting the dots here... what are you referring to?  The URL construct
now being used matches the method used by the web interface for each of the three services.
My point is that I did not find any GitHub documentation that describes how to construct these URLs. The only documentation I found is the documentation of the API v3 which seems to provide the required feature.
