Way back in October FPC voted on naming TeX-related packages "tex-foo" as opposed to the old "tetex-foo" or, in recent distros, "texlive-foo". http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/Minutes20071002 It doesn't seem that this was ever implemented; there's no specific "TeX" section http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging/NamingGuidelines and indeed "tetex-" is specifically mentioned in the "Addon Packages (General)" section.
