Do the zero-length files need to be excluded?

1 non-standard-executable-perm in player-python:
Bogus error on a python binding library not in shared library path.

19 warnings:
all the no-documentation warnings can be ignored
most of the devel-file warnings for header and c files in player-examples can
be ignored

Do we want to exclude the .a archives from the player-example payloads?
