I find this issue to be very important and I was assured it will get proper consideration in the future. About 2151: There is a PECL extension that can do the trick [http://pecl.php.net/package-search.php?pkg_name=syck&bool=AND&submit=Search] and also a nice article about how to utilize it [http://devzone.zend.com/article/2585-using-yaml-with-php-and-pecl]. I will discuss this with the ZF guys and see how I can further promote it.
