About the error that you said you don't see, that was from the Koji build system, and that particular build was for F9. Also, in a side note, there seems to be some discussion of merging gDesklets into Screenlets as per http://forum.compiz-fusion.org/showthread.php?t=7599 but I imagine that won't come to fruition for a little while.
