This is a package review request for pipectl, a named pipe management utility that can be used to e.g. control a longer-lived program using short commands from elsewhere in the system without needing a complex IPC mechanism such as UNIX domain sockets. It's a convenient little tool that is an optional dependency for the Wayland screen mirroring tool wl-mirror (also by me). pipectl has already been packaged by most other major distros, but not by Fedora. This is my first package in Fedora and as such I would need a sponsor for this package. I am the upstream maintainer for both pipectl and wl-mirror and also maintain the Arch Linux AUR packages pipectl-git and wl-mirror-git, as well as the Debian wl-mirror package (also via a sponsor). The package already builds and works in COPR, as can be seen here: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ferdi265/pipectl/ COPR: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ferdi265/pipectl/ COPR Build: https://copr.fedorainfracloud.org/coprs/ferdi265/pipectl/build/7732354/ Upstream Git: https://github.com/Ferdi265/pipectl Repology Distro Packages List: https://repology.org/project/pipectl/versions Thanks for considering this request, Ferdinand Bachmann -- You are receiving this mail because: You are always notified about changes to this product and component You are on the CC list for the bug. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2297767 -- _______________________________________________ package-review mailing list -- package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to package-review-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure/new_issue
