What I think is that there's too little time between starting up mogstored (which succeeds, because the pid is echoed) and the connect call. Increasing the timeout is not the solution, so I've deleted the test. I've also renamed the package to mogilefs-server, and added a Requires for perlbal to the perlbal backend.
