FESCo strongly suggests changing the name due to the *-devel reason. Additionally, packaging guidelines will soon more explicitly spell out the rules regarding -devel. After a name change, it will be fairly easy to get this review done. There is broad agreement that this needs to be included in Fedora 9. Will this easily work on Fedora 7 and Fedora 8 as well? What about RHEL5?
