We've established Multimedia SIG in Fedora to help maintain multimedia-related
packages. I intend to maintain the package in Fedora and respond to bugs filed
in Fedora. If upstream doesn't respond to issues, I'll consider including
proposed patches like the one from Debian in
https://savannah.nongnu.org/bugs/?58504 .

Please take that up with the Packaging Committee.
