Summary: Review Request: unrar - RAR archive extractor https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=319831 tcallawa@xxxxxxxxxx changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |enrico.scholz@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx | |chemnitz.de ------- Additional Comments From tcallawa@xxxxxxxxxx 2008-01-01 11:09 EST ------- No. The unrar license is itself not-permissable for Fedora, and we cannot even ship the source code, due to clause 6 of the unrar license: "If you don't agree with terms of the license you must remove UnRAR files from your storage devices and cease to use the utility." I would really prefer that upstream clamav pull out libclamunrar*, as there is no possible universe in which it can be enabled and legally redistributed, however, in the interim, we need to remove it ourselves. Enrico, can you do this, or would you like me to handle it? -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. _______________________________________________ Fedora-package-review mailing list Fedora-package-review@xxxxxxxxxx http://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/fedora-package-review
