https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1884608 krcroft@xxxxxxxxx changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Flags| |needinfo?(hdegoede@redhat.c | |om) CC| |krcroft@xxxxxxxxx --- Comment #32 from krcroft@xxxxxxxxx --- The DOSBox Staging fork sits downstream from the DOSBox project, and therefore is my expectation that "installing DOSBox" using the packaging system should install the bona fide DOSBox project, plain and simple. The DOSBox community has for many years operated well (and continues to operate well) with the DOSBox project providing 99%+ game support coverage. This list: https://www.dosbox.com/comp_list.php?letter=a, shows DOSBox supporting over 1000 games, however we know DOSBox actually supports 7000+ games. Users wanting extra features, such as those authored by community members, have used patched builds such as DOSBox ECE or forks like DOSBox-X. I see DOSBox Staging squarely falling into this category. If Fedora supports secondary/alternative packages -- then this would be a suitable place (if any) to offer patched-builds and forks. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are always notified about changes to this product and component You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ package-review mailing list -- package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx To unsubscribe send an email to package-review-leave@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Fedora Code of Conduct: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/project/code-of-conduct/ List Guidelines: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Mailing_list_guidelines List Archives: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Do not reply to spam on the list, report it: https://pagure.io/fedora-infrastructure
