So far we have verified on CentOS-7, RedHat-7 and ubuntu-18 on x86 machine. For #1 & #2. Yes, I'll add the dependency. This module is part of the kernel package in CentOS/RedHat 7. Looks like it has separate package in Fedora 31 and Redhat-8. Fro #4, the hung issue is new to me. I'll install centos 8 today and try to reproduce it.
