https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1614471 Bug ID: 1614471 Summary: Review Request: ksmtuned - Kernel Samepage Merging services Product: Fedora Version: rawhide Component: Package Review Severity: medium Priority: medium Assignee: nobody@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Reporter: crobinso@xxxxxxxxxx QA Contact: extras-qa@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx CC: package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Spec URL: https://crobinso.fedorapeople.org/reviews/ksmtuned/ksmtuned.spec SRPM URL: https://crobinso.fedorapeople.org/reviews/ksmtuned/ksmtuned-0.1.0-1.fc28.src.rpm Description: This is the 'ksm' subpackage of 'qemu' SRPM, split out into its own package. The canonical version of this code has always been fedora dist-git in qemu.git, but it has its own upstream repo now. The history is documented a bit more here: https://github.com/ksmtuned/ksmtuned/blob/master/HISTORY As such it needs to obsolete the ksm package. I will update the Obsoletes versioning to match latest qemu rawhide version+1, before the first koji build. Description from the RPM: Kernel Samepage Merging (KSM) is a memory-saving de-duplication feature, that merges anonymous (private) pages (not pagecache ones). This package provides service files for disabling (ksm) and tuning (ksmtuned) Fedora Account System Username: crobinso -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug.
