You could try to file a bug against the i810-driver but I'm not sure this can be
fixed there, it might just not know that things will fail until the first frame
gets pushed (thats what happened in xmame). So then a workaround (catching the
error, falling back to sw rendering) needs to be added to SDL. libxcb is not
involved here (atleast not in a bad way).
