Hello , Vic replied was an problem with an guest installation with oracle tools , maybe is not a bad idea check and or clean old installations of guest (since with oracle tool, installation may not be cleaned) here is the transcription of what I think that was relevant: "I took a look, but there was nothing of interest in /etc/ld.so.conf.d/, but that did lead me to find an old copy of the Guest Additions in /opt. I uninstalled that, and re-installed the RPM. All seems to be well now. (without LD_LIBRARY_PATH) It seems my problem was self-inflicted. Apologies."
