These are for pdf generation. That is for documentation.

The "unwritable" warning has no influence on the final pdf and also 

chitlesh(~)[0]$rpm -qf /var/lib/texmf/ls-R
tetex-fonts-3.0-34.fc6
chitlesh(~)[0]$rpm -qf /usr/share/texmf/web2c/mktexupd
tetex-fonts-3.0-34.fc6

Documentation produced are used as tutorials and have nothing to do with 
modifying files from tetex-fonts.
