Electron is used not only by Atom, but also VSCode, and a number of other large and small application. Two medium-sized projects that run on Electron are the Monaco text editor (part of VSCode), and DomTerm (see bug 142489). (Neither of these two projects require Electron, but electron is a convenient way to run them as standalone applications.)
