i know caffeine is "not friendly" (read crap) with packager. but this will not
be the possibility of keeping the package, at length, in Fedora

Default Python interpreter for Fedora (in rawhide) should be python3
For me should better split clientutil package in:
- clientutil only the binaries/scripts files
- python2-cqlshlib and/or python3-cqlshlib

as in https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Packaging:Python#Example_common_spec_file
