I think it would be a disservice to our users to not provide them a capability to enhance Chromium for their needs and force them to use Chrome when all they want to do is just have more codecs supported. My hope is that such a thing won't have to last too long, as Samsung appears to be working rather hard on implementing a fully functional GStreamer backend in Chromium[0]. I hope it gets to a merge-able state soon and the Chromium guys accept it.
