I have made the improvements as requested and updated to upstream's 2.4.1
release. I am currently working with upstream to fix two bugs that prevent unit
tests from passing with django 1.7 and newer.

Everything builds successfully on el6 and el7, and as soon as I have a solution
for the test failures with fedora (and its newer django), I'll post a new srpm
and spec file for review.
