https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=905304 --- Comment #96 from Paul Howarth <paul@xxxxxxxxxxxx> --- (In reply to Steve Jenkins from comment #90) > Dang... those appear unsolvable, since fixing it requires manual removal of > a package on an EL5 system and then installing an RPMForge repo, since > perl-IO-Compress is no longer part of EL5. Can you explain this in more detail? I think it's do-able. EL-5 dates back to a time when IO-Compress was split into separate packages: IO-Compress-Base, IO-Compress-Bzip2, IO-Compress-Zlib. Version 2.005 of IO-Compress-Base and IO-Compress-Bzip2 are currently in EPEL-5 but for reasons that I don't know, IO-Compress-Zlib isn't. The package exists in dist-git though and there's already an EPEL-4 branch of it. It should be possible to get it branched and build version 2.005 (to match the others) for EPEL-5. I think it's worth giving it a try and see if it installs cleanly anyway. http://search.cpan.org/~pmqs/IO-Compress-Zlib-2.005/ -- You are receiving this mail because: You are always notified about changes to this product and component _______________________________________________ package-review mailing list package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/package-review
