Thanks Haïkel, I've created
https://github.com/redhat-openstack/retrying/commits/master-patches for RPM
patches in order to maintain your patch on top of release tags, as it seem
upstream maintainer isn't willing to give up bundling. I'll use rdopkg for
updating patch(es).
