That's why I created bug#1018485 last year. What are your thoughts on having both versions in Fedora? I guess the main eclipselink package would be the newer, and we'd have some compat eclipselink24 for the older one that you still need. If that sounds like the best current solution then I could look into seeing how easy it would be to create the new one.
