These are the results: When creating a brand new project on a existing directory that has never before been used for an phpeclipse project, eclipse-pdt works correctly and can open the files. When attempting to open a phpeclipse project with eclipse-pdt, the previously-reported backtrace appears. Removing the phpeclipse project and re-creating it under the same directory does NOT remove the backtrace problem. This situation makes migration to eclipse-pdt very difficult.
