https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1020292 Gregory Maxwell <gmaxwell@xxxxxxxxx> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |gmaxwell@xxxxxxxxx --- Comment #8 from Gregory Maxwell <gmaxwell@xxxxxxxxx> --- (Jeff said all that I think needed to be said on the consensus points, so I'll leave that alone for the moment) The patch bitcoin-0.8.5-libdb_path.patch is unnecessary. The build uses BDB_INCLUDE_PATH for this purpose, and it appears to be set in the spec so I'm not sure why this patch is there. I don't think installing the "debian example configuration" is of any use. I'd forgotten that was in contrib at all, and the system will not work with that configuration alone in any case. (Though in principle I don't see anything wrong with using it in principle, the one in the bitcoin codebase is outdated and not useful). The only thing that needs to be set for the daemon to actually be usable is the rpcuser / rpcpassword settings, and rpcpassword should be set to a cryptographically strong random value. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are on the CC list for the bug. _______________________________________________ package-review mailing list package-review@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx https://admin.fedoraproject.org/mailman/listinfo/package-review
